Added Microsoft Edge support. Edge takes the Chrome package unchanged; the popup now detects Edge and shows Edge setup help (Edge 139+ on-device Phi-4-mini requirements, or Fast mode) instead of the Chrome/Gemini Nano steps. The release workflow submits each tag to Edge Add-ons when the EDGE_PRODUCT_ID , EDGE_CLIENT_ID and EDGE_API_KEY secrets are set ( scripts/publish-edge.js ; optional EDGE_CERTIFICATION_NOTES secret for reviewer test steps); listing copy in store-assets/edge/listing.md . Fixed Popup: automatic checking now stays off after reopening when manual mode is selected. Rewrite tools: When on-device AI is unavailable, the tooltip explains why rewriting cannot run instead of showing unusable mode chips; the same message appears if the local model is unavailable when a rewrite is requested. On-device AI availability: Checks no longer hang when the browser exposes the Prompt API but never reports availability; after 5 seconds, the model is treated as unavailable.
